about MP3 players
Posted by Frustrated Mum on January 6th, 2008

My kids have 2 different MP3 players. One is Phillips the other is RCA. On
first initial connect to our computer (running Vista operating system) both
MP3's worked and they were able to get music on their players. Now,
everytime they try to get more music added, the RCA says the USB cable is a
bad connection and on the Phillips, it no longer downloads music and
scrambles the music that is already on it. I have no clue what to do. Any
suggestions?

I'd check with Phillips and RCA support. This group is focused on a
particular media player that runs on a windows CE based operating system.
Not likely you will get many responses here about your two players which
don't fall into that category.

You might try a Vista group, since that seems to be common. What I would do
to start though is go into device manager and delete the two devices
(actually the drivers) if they show up. Then let them be discovered again.

Thank you so much. I didn't think to go to the device manager. That was a
big DUH on my part! I will check with RCA and Phillips support also. I
really appreciate your help.
