Is the Archos AV500 considered to be a mediacenter portable??? If not, what
is it considered to be??? Why can't I find any discussions about it on this
newsgroup??

I have an AV700 which is a Plays For Sure device. TV doesn't go into a
separate menu item but has to be accessed from the Browser menu.
Otherwise everything works just like on a PMC except you get a hard
disk five times bigger, DivX support and software updates more than
once every year.

Puzzled as to why your reply to me was posted twice, but anyhow, I am
interested in finding out how people using the AV500 (or in your case 700)
organize their video files. I am not interested too much in recording TV,
but have hundreds of smaller (1-50 MB) video files that I have collected or
created myself over the years. How does one one 'synch' these to the AV??
Can the folders be created on the AV from the WMP player sync screen?? Will
the files to be synched go into any such folders, instead of the root
directory??
Or do I have to access the AV as a hard drive and move the files into the
appropriate folders??
