Hardware Compatibility

I would like to start experimenting with MCE 2005 and the SDK. the only
spare computer i have is an IBM Thinkpad T22 notebook. I can't find a HCL
for MCE 2005. would i be able to install the MCE on this notebook? I have a
Hauppauge PVR-USB2 which supposedly has drivers for MCE 2005. i know the
disk drive is small, but i want to use it as a development/test environment
until i can get a more powerful one.
Should this setup work?
thanks
m

nope. you need a video chip with minimum 64MB memory which the T22
does not have.

Here's the official list of compatible hardware according to Microsoft.

The most common reason why a PC can't run MCE 2005 is that
its graphics adapter is not up to the task. Here's the
requirements for graphics cards:

Bob,

Where did you get this link? The one I've got is to an XL spreadsheet, here:

Yours does have a newer date on it. I got mine from our lead after the old
HTML version went away last fall...

I went to the *old* Designed for MCE 2005 logo site, and
followed the "visit Download Center" link on that page.

I found it (and saved the links) in both formats also, although I don't
remember how I found them. I haven't gone through it with a fine-tooth comb,
but they appear to be the same.
