- mp3 player removable (usb) drive
- Posted by Fairmont on April 6th, 2006
Cannot see and or access my Samsung yp-t55 mp3 player via a USB port on my
PC. My PC is running MS XP Home Edition. It appears that whilst the computer
recognises that the usb port has been accessed it does not however list it as
a removable drive as you would normally expect. I have tried to load the
Samsung driver (but Samsung said that the driver was only for MS 98 versions
and is not necessary for XP computers).
However, can access the player on machines running MS XP Professional.
Note: the player is recognised by the computer as a removable drive and you
are able to save music at the location etc.
Have spoken with Samsung customer support they suggested nothing was wrong
with the player.
Can you help?

Right click on My Computer and select Manage. On the following screen,
click on Disk Management. Does it show up on the right hand side of the
screen? If so, assign it a drive letter.
