Print Distributor is a management tool which lets you distribute your prints
to multiple printers and archive files. A new easy-to-use management program
lets non technical users set up and configure an output management system in
minutes. Normal customers without a deep technical background can use Print
Distributor to control their print environment using a management console.

Print Distributor creates virtual printers within Windows which appear as
normal printers to any application making Print Distributor compatible with
just about any software. These printers can be shared allowing Print
Distributor to be installed on a server or on client machines.

New in this release is print load balancing which provides improved
reliability in the print room and allows the use of lower cost commodity
printers. Output is automatically sent to each printer in turn spreading
print jobs across a number of printers automatically. No intervention is
required from the user, the operation is completely transparent.

Also added is a scripting capability which allows extensive control over the
routing of documents. Very large prints can be automatically redirected away
from a small and expensive inkjet printers to centralised laser printers
saving money. Scripting also provides the ability to feed documents into
external systems such as workflow or archiving software.

For security conscious environments all prints can now be archived for easy
retrieval and reprinting. Prints can be stored by date, time, user name and
the document title giving full traceability.
