Downsides: it's a GDI printer which means Windows only. The printer driver
seems robust and full of neat features though, and Minolta is actively
supporting it with updates on their web site.
Also the toner and drum are separate assemblies, which means you don't get
a fresh drum every time you replace the toner. If the drum is ever damaged,
e.g. by media or contaminants in the paper path, replacing it will cost you
more than the printer did. Minolta's distribution network for printers and
supplies seems very limited; e.g. Staples for the most part.
