- Anyone have a Konica Minolta Magicolor 2300 series color laser?

The Konica Minolta 2350en color laser looks like it might be
especially nice for all-purpose use including photos. Does anyone
have this model or any other 2300-series color laser product?

I've got a 2300W, and am very happy with it. It does photos well,
though on glossy papaer the print will only be half-glossy since the
toner is a melted-on powder. Perfectly sharp to the eye at 1200x600.
And of course at $400 ($599 /no tax/free shipping at Cost Central
(Erie Computer) minus $200 rebate from Minolta) it's an incredible
deal. Installed perfectly into W2k/XP, and with just a bit more
hassle into W98/ME

Xerox Phaser 8200, the Xerox quality is much better than QMS - however
its difficult to laminate the Phaser output because it uses solid ink.
If you are looking at a QMS you might want to compare with the similar
Epson, AIUI they are essentially the same machine.
Obviously, the initial costs of a colour laser are more than for an
inkjet, but after that the running costs tend to be lower, and, IME, you
get better quality on cheap paper from a laser as opposed to an inkjet.
