- Assigning Print to Tray 2, Tray 3
- Posted by Parvardigar on May 20th, 2008
Hello
I have a HP 2015 network printer with Tray 2 and Tray 3 printing. The
accounting needs to print invoices from Tray 3. To do this do I, using
the Server, add the HP 2015 printer- once again?
I would now have two icons: HPPrint2015. They would have the same IP
address: 10.10.0.106. Do I open properties on the second Icon and
disable Tray 2? thus forcing the print job to print to this printer's
Tray 3, and also, rename the printer from HPPrint2015 to
HPPrintinvoice? The goal would be for the accountants to have a choice
with print -to Tray 2, plain paper, and Tray 3 Invoices. Let me know.
Thanks

Essentially yes that is correct. You install the printer a second time and give
it a unique name.
You don't need to disable tray 2 however. Just make tray 3 the default tray for
the second printer.
