Borderless/Edge-to-edge printer wanted - recommendations please?
Posted by ©® on January 22nd, 2004

Would like to get a printer that prints right up to the edge of the
paper.
Can anyone please recommend a printer that does this and one that is for
home use (not in a business environment or anything like that).
Heard about the HP3650 that the reviews were pretty good but am still
trying to find reviews on it and what it actually does/does not do.
Thanks

A Canon i860 will serve you quite nicely. Blazing fast, cheap ink and prints
borderless photos on everything from 4x6 to 8.5x11 paper. Plus it has a
dedicated ink for printing text.

I am in Europe - is there an equivalent for this model? Did a search in
UK and didn't find i860 listed.

The Epson Photo 1280 will do that.

The HP 5150 printer is a good printer as well that will print
borlerless prints. You can find them for $99 or less at most computer
stores.

900. On the latter, I had to use a different drive to make it behave
like the 1280.

I especially like the roll feed on thes printers---I can crank out
borderless 4x6 snaps almost as fast as the printer can print them.

Canon getting good press lately, but no roll paper options

I would think it would be just as fast, no?
