All,

I have installed a Brother HL-1440 on the print server provided on my DLINK
wireless router. I am running XP home machines and one XP pro on my
network. I can print to the printer - but there is a long pause between
pages. DLINK has told me that my printer is not compatible with the DI-713P
router - but I think there is still something I can look at to make the
printing faster.

Anyone have any thoughts?

after the last page has spooled and enable bi-directional printing.
This might result in faster transmission of the completed document. In
the server, if there is a setting for bi-directional communication,
enable it, although it is not clear that the server supports this. The
printer might be slow simply because the server is not communicating
well with the spooler. If these don't help, change back to the
original settings. There is a setting for Retransmission timeout which
you might decrease.
