After the predictable web research I was looking at either the Canon
i550 or i850...walked out with the Canon S900 7-colour photo printer
'cos at USD $160 it seemed a lot of printer for the money even if it is
last year's model. I've got 13 days to decide whether I'm happy with it.

I want to print nice looking DVD and VHS inserts for my wedding
production business - so I think it's well suited, but little unsure
about longivity of colour fading. (I have a laser for advertising and
correspondence printing already so the fonts and photos of cover
printing is my priority)

Time to open the box and give it a whirl!

laser prints last inordinately longer than any inkjet on the market. They
outlast genuine photos too. Mind you colour lasers aren't cheap.
