Canon S400 problem
Posted by Menno Hershberger on August 11th, 2003

I have a Canon S400 that I took in on trade about a year ago from someone
that wanted a higher quality printer. It had been working fine but was
out of ink. I ordered new cartridges and installed them. The lines
weren't straight in the alignment pattern... they looked more like
parenthesises than straight lines. After a couple of runs on alignment
they began to straighten out a little, so I picked the best patterns and
went ahead. I tried to print a couple of pictures - they looked like
crap... horizontal streaks. So I ran "clean" and "deep clean" a couple of
times. If anything, it got worse. I scanned a Windows Print test and
have put it at http://www.mewnlite.com/canonS400.jpg
I find nothing of any help on Canon's support site.
Does this look familiar to anyone and is there any fix for it?
Thanks for any help you can offer.
