Cartridge World expensive! (http://www.cartridgeworld.org)

Was recommended this place by somebody locally (they've just opened a
store nearby). They refill/remanufacture your existing cartridge and
guarantee to replace your printer if it gets damaged. ISTM though, that
rather than charge the cost of materials and time, they're merely
deducting between 40-60% off the original cartridge price and charging you
*that* amount.

To refill a Samsung ML-1750 cartridge with toner they want £35. Yet it's
easier to refill than many models they charge between £10-£20 to refill.
I'll do it me-self for a third of that price TYVM.

Your complaining that a 40-60% saving is not acceptable?

Might it be possible that they also replace parts within the cartridge so
that raises the costs?
Can you buy any additional parts you may require?

Will you also give an unconditional warranty on the 'refilled' cartridge and
also warranty the printer as they do?

One may as well being with Stick Stickus's letter to the newsgroup:

You're damn right, when they're charging half that price for cartridges
more difficult to refill than mine. And for the sake of clarity: let's
just point out that nobody is *truly* making a 40-60% saving on new
cartridge price here, given that the cartridge is not new and belongs to
me. All they do is refill it with toner.

No, it might not. I did ask you see.

What parts? What are you talking about? Requirement: refill spent
cartridge with toner. Method: Unplug cap, tip bottle, plug in cap again.

Do you think they'd be as facetious as you if I pointed out to them that
they provide the same guarantee to customers who only pay £15 for a
refilled cartridge? Oh but then a brand new cartridge would've cost £30
so obviously that's a non-starter.

Piss + Take = Cartridge World. If you're happy with that kind of
capitalism then I can see whether the facetious attitude has come from.
You've accept fucked up life too easily.

One may as well being with Malev's letter to the newsgroup:

As opposed to a thick one like yourself, if you really think it's
acceptable to charge one customer £15 and another £35 for exactly the
same service. In fact, in this example, the £15 charge applies to a HP
printer which needs a hole drilling in it before the toner is poured in
and resealed. The £35 charge to a Samsung cartridge which needs a plug
removing and reinserting.

If you're happy to be ripped off, that's your PROBLEM. Pray don't remove
the voices of those who have the audacity to complain about such
ill-treatment.

Supply and demand?

More people want to refill HP cartridges vs. Samsungs?

No one if forcing you to shop there.

I would be interested to know which Cartridge World store gave you that
information as it does not match that which I have received. I would suggest
you go ahead and refill your own toner cartridge and when it causes damage
to your printer, as it will do at some stage, and you have to replace it,
perhaps then you'll have cause to remember your previous moans!
