Do I need photo-sized paper trays?
Posted by *richmac* on November 30th, 2003

I bought a HP photosmart 7660 printer because it has assorted photo-sized
paper trays. From what I can see, the paper can be as small as a passport
photo.

Since the HP cannot be installed, I was advised by their tech to return the
machine.

After reading rave reports from posters here, I think I will go for a Canon
printer. At the moment I don't know how much would I use the machine for
printing photos, but I'd like every photo job to be done without mistakes.

My question is, if I use a Canon photo printer, do I need to feed a large
sheet of photo paper into the tray? How does it manage the paper feed?

Imagine a _world_ where Nature's lights are obscured
by man's. There would be nowhere to go.
Or wait a while. Then you won't have to imagine.

Actually I did get it installed in the end, but by doing the very thing that
HP very, very seriously warn against, which is to plug in the printer before
inserting CD.
HP tech spent over an hour's long distance charge helping me install. I gave
that machine 8 hours of my time, so far. What a stupid waste.

No matter, I'm taking it back. Another 2 hours.
