Hi,

I'm writing this really as a last resort, and would appreciate any help you
can offer. For the past few months I've been researching colour laser
printers as I'm looking to buy one for home use, mostly for printing
information from websites, but also for occassional photographic work. I'd
obtained information and print samples of all of the printers in the budget
range and Epson's C900 seemed fairly good all-round, but then Epson launched
its AcuLaser C1100 at the beginning of January.

It sounded like the ideal printer for me, and I contacted the printer
websites I'd previously been in contact with and asked if they could send me
some print samples. Two of them outright ignored me (yet they'd previously
been calling me constantly hoping for a sale), and another simply replied
that they didn't have a model to print samples from. I then contacted
various retailers in my town, none of whom were able to help, so I called
Epson. They put me through to the AcuLaser department, who replied that
they didn't have any working C1100 models, which seemed odd, but they gave
me a list of resellers I could call. None of the resellers could help. I
was running out of options at that point, when I read an online magazine
review of the C1100, dated April 2005. I quickly e-mailed the magaine and
asked if their lab still had the printer, but unfortunately they'd already
returned it. D'oh.

So the only thing I can do now is ask if anybody subscribed to this list has
an AcuLaser C1100, and if you'd be willing to print some samples for me.
