Epson CX5100 Driver Install Problem
Posted by Tristan Gooey on August 10th, 2003

Hi,
Yesterday I installed my drivers for the multifunction centre successfully
but today XP came up with some spool file which had become corrupt or
unreachable. I uninstalled the printer and rebooted. Before starting
Windows, it ran CHKDSK and fixed some files, hopefully the corrupt spool.

I then tried to install the drivers again but when I did it came up with
'Unable to install printer. Either the printer name was typed incorrectly,
or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server. For more
info, click help.'
When installing the drivers it said that there was already a driver
installed even though no printers showed in the control panel.
When trying to configure the USB001 it said 'An error occurred during port
configuration. This operation is not supported'

The printer can only be connected via USB.

Any ideas?!

Thanks.
