- Hardware Monitor Found a Problem!
- Posted by SuPerB SainT on December 24th, 2006
my psc 1210 all-in-one will not scan. It will print email and
*
hardcopies but it Does not scan!
*
I uninstalled the psc 1210 all-in-one and reinstalled it.* when i did
*
that it works perfectly.* It will print, make copies and even scan!
*
The problem arises when i re-boot the computer. Upon rebooting i
*
get the black screen that says, "Hardware monitor found an error.
*
Enter Power setup menu for details."
*
I click the F2 option to continue and my computer boots up.
*
after the reboot there is an exclamtion mark on the hp psc icon in
*
the tray and it says, "Error hp psc disconnected!"
*
I am trying to find out why .....when i uninstall, then re-install the
*
psc 1200 all-in-one ....why that it will function in every category,
*
UNTIL it is rebooted.
*
upon reboot i always get the screen "Hardware monitor found an
*
error. Enter Power setup menu for details".
*
and if i do enter Power setup menu for details there is nothing
*
pertinent to solving the problem that i see.
*
Please help!

the BIOS settings. The power options should have legacy usb support set
to ON (or whatever the wording is for your bios). This will ensure that
the device has usb power from the instant of switch on, allowing the
device to initialise before windows looks for it. Another option is a
powered usb hub. Possibly as well you have too many gadgets drawing usb
power and the psc 1210 loses connection when they all try to initialise
at once.

I assume this is a usb connected device. If so you could try altering
the BIOS settings.
