- HP 560C

My HP 560C works fine except when I first start it up it goes through some
kind
of start-up routine and then, as it places the ink cartridges back into
their resting position, it emits a "crunch" sound and all the lights on the
control panel blink. If I turn it off and back on it will go through the
start-up routine, place the ink cartridges back into the resting position,
and be ready to go. I can then print successfully. Any ideas?

Buy one or two for parts, or complete replacements,
on eBay. They're cheap, so cheap that I've haven't
even considered trying to sell the one (I think) I
still have around here somewhere.

I ever fixed it but it carried on working in that state for a long
time. The "crunch" sound is the toothed rubber drive belt slipping I
think.
Where are you by the way, I have a twin pack colour cartridge which
I'll post to you for free if you're in the UK. It's past its sell by
date but is proably OK still.
