I865 icm Wecare replacement cartidges
Posted by Albert Zonneveld on December 4th, 2004

I just changes the original canon cartidges for replacment cartridges from
wecare because they were recommended as decent cartidges for a good price
but now the colours I print with, look totally wrong. The clours look like
they have been bleached in the sun. I am unable to get any kind of bright
RED or dark Purple and dark blue from any prints. The purple just looks pink
and the bright red looks orange.

I can imagine the replacment cartidges to give minor colour differences but
this is ridiculous. I cannot print anything in the colour red anymore.

I have the idea it might be because two of the new cartridges are photoprint
variety (magenta and cyan). Can I compensate this with the settings so that
the prints still come out in a normal colourscheme ?

Or should the use of the photoprint variety cartridges not matter so much
and might it be something else I have done wrong ?

I have a Canon I865 intjet printer and I added these cartridges to it by
Wecare:
W-BCI-6Y
W-BCI-6PM
W-BCI-6PC
W-BCI-6B
WE4230

I could really use some input cause like this I cannot really print anthing
normal.

You need to fit standard cartridges - photo magenta and/or photo cyan
are not designed for the i865.

thx for the info.
I shot myself in the foot there I guess. Thought the photo variety would
enhance the picture quality
