Laserjet 1100 paper feed problems
Posted by Bishoop on February 6th, 2004

I have an HP LaserJet 1100.

Since it was new it has had a problem where 2, 3 or 4 sheets where picked up
at one time. I've tried various papers and all seem to have the same
problem.

Looking for suggestions to eliminate the problem.

The paper separation pad is the module that keeps the printer from picking
up more than one sheet at a time. Perhaps the pad was never good to begin
with if you've had problem from day one.

In article <uq6dnY-LRI9aar7dRVn2vA@giganews.com>, none@none.net says...
HP used to have a web page where you can order a free fix-it kit that
adds a new pad inside the paper path. I don't know if it's still
available. You can buy a 3rd party kit for US$19.95 here:

I searched the HP site with no luck on finding a "free" replacement kit for
the paper separation pad.

I think it's probably worth the 20 bux and will try the repair kit from
fixyourownpronter.com

Thanks again.....

That offer is long gone, it caused more problems than it solved
anyhow. I've got a bunch of them in my garage. You're better off with
the kit from fixyourownprinter.
