- New drivers for HP Officejet 7310 - or are there?
- Posted by usenet@isbd.co.uk on April 21st, 2005
I just received an E-mail from HP notifying me that there are new drivers
available for the HP Officejet 7310.
However on trying to download them the file doesn't exist. I had a
little 'manual' search around the HP FTP site and couldn't find the
file so it's not just a simple typo in the filename.
The link given in the E-Mail takes you to the standard software
download page, the link for the new drivers there is:-
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/softwar...icas_Euro1.exe
Is there any way to tell HP about this and/or does anyone know if the
new driver is available by any other means?

I found the update on the HP website, and it is listed as 4/05, but the
FTP site doesn't work. I am in the US. HP doesn't make it easy to
contact them. Try emailing the webmaster (I just did).

Thanks for flagging this, the file is now available. Sorry about the delay.

Are these really new versions of the drivers. Just a quick glance at
the individual files makes it look like all are dated Dec 2004 or
earlier.

Do not have access to the previous version of the files here. I would
like to know what fixes/changes have been made in this version as I
have everything working at home and do not want to bother upgrading the
setup if these new drivers are basically the same as the old ones.

However I did notice that the options you're offered when installing
are different, theres a Full install as before and a Lite install but
the Lite install seems to have a lot more in it than the old minimum
one.

Maybe someone will be able to post what changes are in this release
