I have an Epson printer which has been giving me intermittent problems
(frequent cleanings needed).
Since I'm no longer in the workplace or job hunting, and just use my printer
for casual printing (output doesn't have to look great), I have been
thinking about resurrecting an old HP printer (uses economical 40 ml
cartridges w/o chips).
I could add the HP to my primary computer (use it 99+% of the time), but I
would have to build a shelf or some such (not practical in present location)
in order to do it.
My secondary computer, used only for some older games and DOS software,
would serve the purpose of handling the printer with only some minor
rearranging needed.
Now the question. If I have a file on my #1 computer, that I have created
by a Windows program or downloaded from the internet, and select print to
file (save file to floppy), is it a simple matter to open the file on #2
computer and select print? Does having different versions of Windows affect
this procedure?
Thanks for your input.
