Are you trying to print to the bottom of the page? The DeskJet 960 has a
physical limit of 0.46" for the bottom margin as it needs some margin to
handle the paper.

My HP960 and HP1220cse printers both have difficulty with thicker stock.
Their turn radius is too sharp (i.e. front-to-front feed verses
rear-to-front on my Canon i960). I had some sample paper packs and both the
HP's had difficulty feeding about half the demo papers. Sometimes it was
the slickness of the paper. Often they would hang on feeding; sometimes
while in the printer and other times while first feeding it into the printer
(which can make an inky mess on the rollers).
When I buy paper for the HP, I need to find the thinnest stock else it they
will jam or not feed.
Another reason why I like the Canon i960 -- besides ink cost being far less
than HP's price.
