I can't speak for specialty inks, such as pigmented, dye sub, etc.
In the case of Epson printer dye inks, they last for years beyond the
expiry date, especially if they are kept in the aluminum coated vacuum
sealed wrapper. The ink I've been buying has a 2 year expiry date on it
(non-Epson). I am still using Epson cartridges I have left which say
1998-99 on them without difficulty. I would not suggest buying
cartridges that come without a quality aluminized vacuum wrapper, however.
