Didn't see any mention of "2 paper slots or cd printing" on the info
at Canon. The info does mention 2 paper paths for built-in 2 sided
printing. Perhaps, your info is from another source? If cd printing
is available, then I can wait to replace the epson...clogged heads.

I had a canon pj-1080a which had to be dumped because radio shack
no longer supplied ink to a product that was discontinued for 10 yrs...
Have tried HP & Epson, & think will have better luck in going back
to canon.

path that is nearly a straight-thru feed & exit if one remembers to
open the backdoor; this is useful for envelopes & label type media.

I think I came across a translated(?) review/announcement/press that the
ip3000 did do CD-printing(!?) in google.

It could be another Canon thingy for the ability to do CD-printing on their
printers everywhere else except in the US (North America?).

Will wait for the ip3000 to appear as the front loading of paper is more
convienent for me because of the location of where the printer will be
stored.

I did another check with google with "ip3000" as a search
criteria and found that "www.canon-europe.com" do have specs
that say the ip3000 will print onto printable CD-R/DVD media!!!
SAME MODEL NUMBER/ID!!!! The specs say that there is an INPUT
tray for CD-R/DVD; nothing about a tray for the 4x5 photo
sheet (same tray but cannot say use for CD-R in the US?).

"www.canon.co.uk" also say that the ip3000 does print onto
printable CD-R/DVD. As you are in Europe (according to the
id), you will get the supported/acknowledged CD-R/DVD printing.

Now, why doesn't the USA Canon say the same capability?

Anyway, August is just a week away & am in no hurry even
if I just junked the Epson. The built-in 2-sided printing
capability will come in handy occassionally.

Wonder if the printer can be imported to Canada then gotten
into the US.......
