If I were them, I would. You're operating the printer blatantly out of
spec. You may have distorted the feed rollers by forcing paper over
double the max rated thickness through them. Or done some other damage.
Two suggestions:
1) Is there an alternate paper path (e.g. manual feed) that is rated for
your paper (doubt it, but...)
2) Buy a printer designed for the job (more expensive, but with paper
that much I'm sure you can afford it!)
