Samsung ML-1210 envelope printer
Posted by ggrider on July 11th, 2003

Until recently I've been unable to print envelopes on my new Samsung
ML-1210 printer. (This from MS Word, v. 6.) I did receive a helpful
response from Samsung, as follows. The trick is using the DEMO button:

"When printing envelopes or labels / cards you need to follow these
simple steps.
1. Insert your item (1 ITEM) into the correct envelope/label tray and
slide the guide tabs snug against the edge.
2. Ensure the exit pass thru door or switch is open so the item can
pass thru without needing to bend or turn to exit
3. Click the print option in your windows application
4. The paper light will turn on indicating that your item is ready to
print
5. Press and hold the DEMO button for a brief moment then release
6. Your item will feed and print."

Good printing!

That didn't make the slightest difference for me.

I've spent a lot of this afternoon trying to figure out why envelopes
were being fed through but not printed on my Samsung ML-1440 printer
(from MS Word 2000)

I got the latest drivers from the Samsung site. Still blank envelopes.

It turns out that the size C65 envelopes that I was using were
selectable in Word but caused a blank print. When I selected a size 10
(imperial) envelope it printed okay.

Is this a bum printer driver? It doesn't say much for Samsung.

Jim.
