- will sitting idle (off) clog all inkjets?
- Posted by Mark on July 14th, 2003
I'm a little concerned when some say "even when sitting unused for a
week", I mean I may leave the printer off and unused for weeks at at
time - will it clog up & at most will I only need the prime/clean to
avoid problems?
I make these comments with respect to newer photo printers, as opposed
to old Canon bubble-jets and HP deskjet which never caused a problem
over the years for me. I'm thinking Canon i850 or Epson C82 models.

I leave my Epson off most of the time. I power it on once a month or so. It
is about 1 year old, no problems with it. It is critical to power it off
with the printer power button.
