- Hiring Advice

Hey, I've recently been put in a role to hire two new programmers for
my department. I've never done any hiring so I'm looking for some
advice. I'm looking for some thoughts on hiring a rookie out of school
vs. someone who has real world experience. Any thoughts would be
appreciated, thanks.

Hang out with a users group in your area. The group's leaders and boosters
will probably be busy, yet they can easily help you work the rest of the
group.
And you don't want anyone who doesn't attend users groups.
