Right, because it's in Bush's interest to cost you your job?
I don't believe that much can be done to help offshoring that wouldn't end
up hurting American industry (and consequently, the American workforce).
At least, I haven't yet heard a viable plan.

Sounds like one of those Bush slogans were you're not supposed to think to
logically. You are, of course, conveniently forgetting that those factories
are there to serve local markets.

Claim: Senator John Kerry's wife owns Heinz, a company that outsources
much of its work abroad.

increasingly the increase in the cost of oil for transport will force
everyone to do it this sensible way.

The fact is http://www.usinpac.com had an article concerning a policy
meeting Kerry held at his campaign head quarters whrere he agree that
sending jobs offshore to india has created opportunity for US workers in
America. This is the same policy Bush has so the reality is we are all
screwed unless we elect a thrid party who is really for the US first.
Offshoreing is nothing more than an extreme result of the liberal agenda
going back to the 60's e.g. give 3rd world countries the ability to build
their own economy and democracy will prevail. The problem is their economies
have grow but by and large the pliyght of their people hasn't and now they
want our jobs. The bottom line, it is wealth redistribution gone wild!

Kind of like introducing a bill to reinstate the draft then claiming it's a
republican plan or promising perscription drug plans to the elderly for 2
decades and having it delivered under a conservative president.

Your idea of wealth redistribution gone wild is:
1. minimum wage jobs at Wal-Mart for former upper middle class.
2. working in Disney sweat shops in china for 6 cents an hour.
3. picking cocoa for 50 cents a day.
4. harvesting sugar in the Dominican republic for 1.00 a day.
5. Republican CEOS getting 531 times what workers get.

this to rest. No Heinz is currently in management or on the board, nor
do any Heinz family members own any sizable (presumably they mean over
5% here, although it could still be huge dollars) stake in the
company. 60% of their sales are outside of US. And their PAC has given
more money to Republicans than Democrats.

The USA India political action committee?
Now there's an unbiased source.
I've seen at least 50 articles from USINPAC spouting the same trash. It was
trash then and it's trash now.
The far right do seem to be quite liberal with capitalism, global fascism
and making themselves rich from the sweat of the poor.
