- AP1242 mac address filters knock out LAN
- Posted by tg on June 5th, 2008
I've set up two wireless desktop PC's to connect to my AP1242AG access point, and from
another (wired) machine I can see them on the LAN and share their files. But when I use
mac address filters on the AP the wireless clients disappear from the LAN, and yet they're
still connected because they can still surf the internet. In the AP I've tried including
the mac addresses from other (wired) machines on the LAN but the wireless clients are
awol. When I delete the mac address filters the wireless clients comes back on the LAN
again. The AP is using System Software Version: 12.4(10b)JA3 Bootloader Version:
12.3(7)JA1
I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for any help.
