c2611 Equivalent EDO DRAM : 5 volts vs. 3.3 volts
Posted by mb1896 on January 24th, 2006

I recently purchased 64 meg of EDO DRAM for my c2611 and it was sold as
equivalent to cisco memory. It is a Micron part, MT4LDT832UG-6 X, and
according to the Micron data sheet, it operates at 3.3 volts. Cisco
specs require 5 volts for this router or bad things will happen. The
company claims it is operating at 5 volts, but I don't have a fuzzy
feeling yet. Anybody dealt with this kind of issue? Thanks for any
insight!
