- is the Cisco 2924 XL better than the C2950 for ccna lab?
- Posted by VolatileAcid on August 8th, 2004
I'm looking to buy another switch for a lab, and am quite irritated at the
fact that the 2950 I bought dosen't support ISL !
should I get a 2924XL? and is it a more capable switch?
comments appreciated.

2924 is pretty much the predecessor to the 2950. I would keep the 2950.
ISL is going away. Most everything supports the 802.1q standard while ISL
is Cisco proprietary and is being phased out.
