- difference b/w layer 2 switch and layer 3 switch

hi folks,
layer 2 switch basically deals with learning(SA) of the MAC
address, and forwarding the frames depending on th DA, basically it
deals with the MAC address.what i want to know is how is the layer 3
switch differnt from layer 2 switch.
