PIX 520 - Routing external subnet?
Posted by Jack on September 5th, 2007

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to route an external subnet with a pix 520, 3xNIC.

This is what i would like to do.

We have a set of ip addresses routing to our media converter. From
here, one of those addresses has another subnet routed to it.

Is it possible to set ethernet0 to the main eternal address (single
ip), ethernet2 to the alternate subnet (multiple ip's) {where i could
then plug some external servers} and ethernet1 as an internal/
firewalled network NATing one of the IPs of etnernet2 (the alternate
subnet)?

If you could post some config lines that would be excellent!

Thanks,
Jack

Take a look at this Cisco doc

The DMZ is where you would place your servers

i.e: could i put another router on the DMZ with one of the external IP
addresses and NAT again?

Thanks,
