- 11x17" Scan Service
- Posted by Bill on July 2nd, 2005
I have about 2000 11x17" sheets printed on both sides that I need
to scan. I'm in the Los Angeles area... does anyone know of
a place to do such scanning?
TIA

They're just south of San Jose, but I guess UPS (I'd use FedEx ground -
cheaper)could handle getting them there.
I just googled "Los Angeles scanning services" and it was the second one
listed.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Dave

I've been working for a document imaging company in northern California
for the last 4 years and can help you find the best solution.
I'd imagine that the following would be factors in your solution:
are these B size documents text only?
do you need to ocr these documents
what's the condition of the paper? ( 20lb, laminated?, old - excessive
paper dust, etc...)
is the information sensitive? ( do you want to limit the # of people
that would handle the originals?)
what file format are you looking for?
how do you plan to retrieve the information after it's captured to a
digital file?
