- Canon 5000F "No connection issue" on Win2000?

Hello I have the Asus P4PE motherboard and I cannot get it to work. I
get the same errors others are getting "unable to communicate with
scanner" I've tried the 4 ports on this motherboard and the USB Header
Card nothing works. I would appreciate if you could help me.

Do you have any other USB devices working? Might need to be sure you
have latest Win 2000 drivers.
Or perhaps a bad cable.

I was helped half-way by canon tech support, on this issue. They did
mention the latest Service Pack for Windows2000 which "may" fix this
problem. I will get back to this group\you if anything does or
doesn't get fixed in a matter of days.
