- Dead HP Scanjet 4470c - No Power

Last week I fired up my HP4470c, and nothing happened. It would seem I have
no power. Is it common to have a power supply die?
All the cords are plugged in. Drivers are installed. Just no power.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is it a Power brick?
Get another Power brick and try it. Read the spec on the Power brick and get
another one with the same specs.
Yes, power supplies do fail.
Anything electric or electronic will fail at some time.

UPDATE:
Purchased new power supply, but that didn't do the trick. Still dead. Is
there anything I can do at home, before I send it out for service?

Not likely. If the new power supply did not work, then there is something
wrong inside the scanner electronics.
