- Epson Perfection 4180 PHOTO

I am looking to replace an old flat bed scanner. Since I have some old
medium format 2 1/4 slides as well as B&W and color negatives, I am looking
for a scanner that can handle these as well.
I like all about the Epson 4180 but I noticed this line in the specs:
Now does thta mean for medium format that negatives are not supported, only
transparencies?
Maybe no holders for medium negatives?
Seems like the same process for 35mm would be used on the medium format.
Documentation error? Am I reading to much into this spec?
Emails to Epson go unaswered.
Anyone know if this scanner can handle medium format B&W and color
negatives?
Suggestions on other scanners.
Thanks
John

Yes, it will do both slides and negatives. Additionally, it does come with
a holder for medium format film. This unit is very, very similar to the
Epson 3170 that it replaces (decent for flatbeds but not as good as the more
expensive dedicated film scanners).

Thanks Doug.
Once I get the new scanner in I will need to consider your holders.
