Hi, I am looking to buy a scanner. Basically looking for something
that will scan text well, as well as have good clarity when scanning
photos.

Dont want to go crazy on a super expensive machine, yet do not want a
super cheap unreliable machine. I am running XP.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. I did read that the perfection
4180 is a good machine- is this overkill for someone who wants to copy
photos and text?
