Hi, I have a slightly older model of the Epson Perfection. I just wonder if
the
software comes with the new model will work with the older scanner.
I'm talking about the 1660 (1600dpi) one. I'd like to get the image
processing
software, such as Digital ICE to work with the scanner.

No. Unfortunately this won't work. ICE is hardware based.
