- How does the Polaroid dust filter work?
- Posted by N Miller on May 13th, 2006
I've recently installed the filter but I obviously have the settings
wrong because nothing seems to happen when I call it up in Photoshop.
Are there written instructions somewhere?

Did you read the help in the program?

You might want to download the standalone program from the above link.
I don't know if the plug-in for Photoshops works.

Hi...
The plug in does indeed work; but the stand alone is much
better.
Help is included, top menu - help - contents.
However, something is terrible terrible wrong if nothing
seems to be happening... the default settings are very very
sensitive.
So... open file, pick a pic. Then create a mask, the "found"
dust will turn red. If you like what you see, then clean image.
Take care.

You have to be sure that the plugin is in the correct folder and then I
think you have to check your plugin prefs in Photoshop.
I find it very useful for masking the sky and getting dust out.
