- HP scanner software & Cannon scanner

I have a Canon scanner. Software went bad, so I installed software from my
old HP scanner. Li'l problem: software won't initialize. Now what? Ideas
appreciated. TIA clueless1

Scanning interfaces are manufacturer specific.
Can't you download or get replacement CD for the Canon software?
