How do I switch off the scan lamp in an UMAX Astra 1220U , besides
disconntecting the power cord ?
It is said, that it can be done by software, but I do not seem to have
that program

The scanner runs on a WinXP SP2 machine, software is VistaScan 3.55
with XP adaptation.

I can scan perfectly btw, do OCR etc..
