- Large format scanners
- Posted by Robert on July 8th, 2003
I am involved in process design for an environmental project in the uk
that will include a need for scanning 10000+ maps per annum for several
years. The maps will be of a common standard, produced on plotters and
A3 colour printers, but will vary in size from A3 to A0 and will contain
colour features that will need to be recorded. At this stage need to
get an idea of scanning speeds/throughput for A2, A1 and A0 sizes and
probable hardware costs. (we are already trialling an A3 auto document
feed unit).
I would be very grateful for any recommendations/guidance as to which
manufacturers we should be looking at as far as build quality and
reliability are concerned.

Have you tried http://www.Google.com with the search "a0 scanner"?
Have you checked out the A3 scanners at Microtek?

Reply to my own reply.
Xerox makes a wide format color scanner that is up to 42 inches wide
document with 36 inches wide scan.
