I am trying to set up Color Management on my Win2k system with an HP
ScanJet 7400c using PrecisionScan Pro 3.02. I have scanned the same
IT8 target three times with the following Color Management profiles in
the "Scanners and Cameras" Control Panel applet:

1) NONE (no profile)
2) sRGB Color Space profile (default)
3) custom HPSJ7400c profile made using the WiziWYG profiler

There are NO differences among these three scans as determined by
difference images in my photo editing software (Picture Window Pro
3.5). No color profiles are shown to be embedded in the scan files,
either.

Does this prove that PrecisionScan Pro is not Color Management aware,
and I am chasing the wrong rabbit, or what? I will appreciate any
help, as I have chased a bunch of rabbits in this Color Management
hunt, and haven't had a good stew yet. Thanks.
