Posted by snafu1@yahoo.com on August 16th, 2006

Hello. I have a Visioneer scanner that i bought at a thrift store.
It's model is 8900. I need a power supply, or maybe i can find out the
power supply specifics and use a generic one. Please advise. thanks!

Check the plug in for the power supply and see if you can find a generic.
Also, go back to the thrift store and see if it is there. Some like to
separate the stuff from the computer etc., so they can make more
money...especially Goodwill. They usually have that kind of stuff (cords,
power supplies) in separate bins. Good luck.

ditto what Mary says. They usually have oodles of power supplies.

My 8100 is 12VDC, but pls don't make me figure out if the tip is
positve or negative.
