Hi,
I've profiled my monitor with GretagMacbeth i1 display and done my flatbed
Epson 1200 with wolf faust it8 target. I've also made several vuescan
printer
profiles for Ilford Galerie paper on an Epson 875DC.
The tonality is better than the Epson Colorlife profiles (I know wrong
paper) but prints of various calibration targets and photos still come out
too dark
with a slight yellow cast. I know I could fix this in photoshop but I would
like to know
if there is a way of tweaking the profile. Is the printer profile vuescan
makes affected by any of the
vuescan scan settings brightness etc. I've ordered a custom profile to be
made for the Ilford,
but so that I can roll my own for other papers I would like to see if it is
possible to modify
vuescans behaviour without wasting loads of ink.
As a separate curiosity I notice that the printer profiles are tagged with a
device class display
rather than output (mentor rather than prtr) is this correct?
regards
Steve
