I'm currently using vuescan pro with a nikon coolscan 4000 and epson 875
printer,
I'm considering fine tuning my printer profiles with vuescan so need to
buy a target to do this.
I have used adobe gamma for my monitor and I think that this gets me in the
right ballpark but is probably not optimal.
I use the colorlife printer profile for my printer with Ilford Galerie paper
and non
OEM ink, in photoshop I use adobe 1998 as my workspace and use the colorlife
profile as my proof space with relative colormetric. When printing from
proof tweaked
were necessary. I'm reasonably happy with the result but thinking of
squeezing the last
bit of performance from the printer (checked against the test file against
the test file at
http://www.normankoren.com/color_management_4.html ).
Question is there a noticeable improvement with vuescan profiles as opposed
to generic
profiles?
thanks
Steve
