- Can't delete login info in IE pop-up box
- Posted by Gina on June 21st, 2008
When I try to login to certain secure sites in IE, I get a pop-up box that
asks for user name and password. For instance, trying to login to the linksys
router configuration page, you type in the genral router IP address and a
small box pops up in the middle of the screen. The user name box is
memorizing every email address I have ever typed into that sort of pop up box
on any secure site, and I can't delete them from the memory no matter what I
do to clear the history, etc.
Help.

Hi Gina,
1... Click start >> Control Panel >> Double Click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options, on the IE Properties window
you will see these Options:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs
| Advanced .
Click Content tab then click on Settings button under AutoComplete.
On the AutoComplete Settings window make sure these check boxes not Checked:
[ ] Web Adddresses
[ ] Forms
[ ] User names and passwords on forms
Click [OK] when done and then [OK] to close the IE window and Hit F5 on your
keyboard to refresh and see if that will help.
HTH.
